In my travel bag

I have been traveling quite a lot the past few years and have literally "lived" in about 5 countries this year (I say "lived" to mean spending more than a week in the same location). I'm not the best when it comes to packing but I don't overpack much anymore either. (Yay!)

Pictured above:
Pens from Kikki K. (Singapore)
Travel-friendly body wash and body scrub from Molton Brown (London)
Balance facial oil from Jurlique (Singapore)
Gentle cleansing wipes from & other Stories (Stockholm)
Natural deodorant from earth science (New York City)
*Earth Science Natural Tea Tree Lavender deodorant
Radiance lotion moisturiser from Fresh (Singapore)
Sunday Block - sunblock from too cool for school (Singapore)
Sunglasses from Robert LaRoche (Vienna)

As you can already deduce from my little list, I have purchased all these items around the world. If I find something while I'm on the road that works, it becomes part of my travel items.

Travel finds: La Chinata

I was traveling this summer in Europe and stumbled upon a little store in Sevile that specialized in olive oil goods. This little store stocks everything related to olive oil products from chocolate to bath and beauty products.

I have been using the purifying milk cleanser (€7.60) for a couple months now and my skin is soft. At first, I wasn't too crazy about this product because it feels like there is residue left on the skin. This cleanser is gentle on the skin and would be perfect for the dry winter months.

To combat the residue feeling, I use a calming cleansing water as a toner for extra cleansing yet won't strip my skin dry.

My favorite product from La Chinata is the body lotion(€4.95)

The smell is light, the lotion is hydrating yet not sticky or too creamy. I can even use this lotion before going out in warm and humid Singapore. It melts into your skin.

Every product in this line uses organic extra virgin olive oil and it is always nice to support a small business. Especially one that has affordable prices!

New Year's beauty resolutions

Happy New Year! I spent almost three weeks traveling Western Europe for the holidays and have amazing memories, stories, pictures, and met up with old & new friends. Its winter and my skin surprisingly did fine - I slathered lotion all over my body at night before bed time and if its extra dry due to the heating in the room, I'd slather lotion again in the morning. I did the same thing with my face: after cleansing it was always serum, moisturizer, sunscreen, then tinted moisturizer & a bit of make up.

So now its 2014 and a brand new year. What are your beauty care resolutions this year?

My beauty care resolution is simple: take care of my body by nurturing it with care and love. Stay healthy as much as I can, moisturize from head-to-toe because dry skin causes wrinkles, apply sunscreen more diligently, drink A LOT of fluids, smile, laugh, enjoy life!

Prost! Skål! Salud!

Travel friendly cosmetics in 3 oz.

There are several online beauty retailers that give beauty junkies like me an option beyond the Sephora, Ulta, Space NK, Soap, and several others... The one I'm going to talk about is a beauty site geared towards getting travel friendly sized beauty products ranging from skincare, haircare, and even laundry products, vitamins.
Visit 3floz.com

The favorite feature of the site is the kits available based on skin type. I like this Air Repair kit - it contains a cleanser, a facial mist, eye cream, a beauty balm, and a rescue balm. A complete set for keeping your skin hydrated for air travel. This is a must-have if you are traveling globe-trotter. I'm not traveling anywhere by plane this holiday season but next year, I'm going to be racking up some trans-Atlantic-Pacific mileage and will most likely order this to carry on with me on those long 20 hour flights.

I'm also a fan that the products on their site are from brands that I covet in my medicine cabinet. Go Smile, AHAVA, Malin + Goetz, Murad, Oscar Blandi, The Laundress, Tocca, Fekkai, etc.
I'm sure that you'll find a brand you recognize within the offerings.
